Nanocrystalline cores
PML manufactures high-performance Energy Meter Cores using nano crystalline and amorphous materials.


Engineered for extreme linearity and phase-shift stability, our energy meter cores provide the reliable, tamper-proof current sensing required for the most demanding residential and industrial smart metering infrastructure.

Used in high-accuracy energy meter CTs & broadband transformers and sensors, these cores are produced using precision automatic core winding machines to ensure consistent quality and high throughput. Post-winding, cores are heat-treated in a high-tech, controlled-atmosphere furnace to optimize magnetic properties. Cores are either plastic-encapsulated or epoxy-coated, and are 100% tested on core sorting machines before dispatch.
Properties
Compared to traditional materials like silicon steel or permalloy, nano crystalline alloy offers superior accuracy, thermal stability, and cost-effectiveness for compact current transformer applications.
