Nickel and iron alloys having high permeability properties require
special heat treatment techniques. They found their use in various
applications where magnetic shielding is required, low intensity
current is to be read properly and low hysterisis losses are required.
The raw material is obtained in Strip form after where it is
cold rolled and punched as per the design requirements.
It is then heat treated to enhance its propertied. The heat treatment
consists of controlled hydrogen annealing at 1200 C.
To extract the maximum properties of the material it is necessary
to anneal it in a Hydrogen atmosphere. This helps in recrystalization
of the material and reduces impurities.
PML boasts of batch type modular controlled hydrogen furnaces.
With this type of furnace even small quantities can be annealed
giving it high and consistent quality.
We have a range of material with nickel content verifying from
36% to 80%.
Permanent Magnets Limited has the technical capability to design
and develop new equipment for newer applications relating to high
permeability requirements..
All our designs are customized as per the requirements and application
suitability.
